A second Mississippi representative has been admitted to the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.
On Thursday, Rep. Tom Miles of District 75 went to Twitter to inform people that his fellow legislator, Rep. Earle S. Banks of District 67, was checked in due to complications from the coronavirus.

“Please be in prayer for my dear friend & colleague Representative Earle Banks who’s been admitted to the hospital with complications from COVID-19,” Miles wrote.
Miles also used the post to warn people of the realities of the COVID-19 crisis.
“This is real folks, if you aren’t paying attention!”
Mississippi has seen one of the fastest growing coronavirus case rates in the nation as the state now stands at 5th in cases per capita. Yesterday, the Magnolia State exceeded 1,000 in positive cases yet again.
