A combination of windy conditions and low relative humidity values will lead to increased fire danger today. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for southwestern portions of the area. Open burning is discouraged in most areas with extra caution advised roughly along the highway 82 corridor.
Strong northerly winds will be possible today across the area. Sustained winds of 20-25 mph with gusts of 30-40 mph may result in weak trees and limbs breaking and falling. Driving may be made more difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles.
