After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Oxford’s Double Decker Festival is set to return this weekend.
The festival, which was inspired by the Double Decker bus Oxford imported from England in 1994, will kick off on Friday with art demonstrations around the Square. Double Decker bus tours will also be available at 2, 3, and 4 p.m. Then at 6 p.m., the music will commence with The Wilkin Sisters and 49 Winchester opening up for country music star Brett Young.
Saturday will be an all-day affair featuring over 100 art and 20+ local food vendors with a variety of music performances taking place throughout the day. Come nighttime, the main stage will be taken over by two big-time performers in The Revivalists and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue.
On top of the music, art, and entertainment, the Ole Miss and Mississippi State baseball teams will face off on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at Swayze Field.
