After three weeks on the run, an escaped inmate in Oktibbeha County has been captured.

William Strohm, who broke out of jail on Dec. 3, was taken into custody in his hometown of Memphis, Tenn., on Sunday. Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force arrested Strohm and are working to extradite him to Mississippi.

Strohm was serving a one-year sentence for burglary at the time of his escape. That sentence is now expected to be extended.
