Next week, the First Lady will visit Mississippi’s capital city.
As part of the administration’s outreach efforts, Dr. Jill Biden will travel to Mississippi next Tuesday (June 22nd) to encourage everyone to get vaccinated against COVID-19. During her visit to Jackson, an announcement from the White House states that she will visit local vaccination sites, but further details are not yet available.
“These trips are part of the administration’s nationwide tour to reach millions of Americans who still need protection against the virus, highlight the ease of getting vaccinated, and mobilize grassroots vaccine education and outreach efforts,” the White House announcement says.
Currently, Mississippi ranks last with around 29% of its population having been fully vaccinated.
