Law enforcement is investigating after a shooting in downtown Jackson left five injured and one dead.
On Saturday around 1:30 a.m., Capitol Police responded to a call on West Capitol Street regarding a shooting at The Daquiri Bar. Upon arrival, officers found six individuals suffering from gunshot wounds, five of which were transported to a nearby hospital and the other pronounced dead on the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact Capitol Police at (601)359-3125.
Capitol Police are not offering any additional comments and information since the investigation is ongoing.
