Flights canceled at Gulfport, Jackson airports as Hurricane Francine rolls through

Flights at Mississippi’s two largest airports have been canceled due to Hurricane Francine.

At the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport, several airlines have called off flights amid heavy rains expected to impact central Mississippi. Travelers are urged to check with the four airline partners — American, Delta, Southwest, and United — to see an updated status of any previously booked flights.

On the Mississippi Gulf Coast, all flights at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport have been grounded for Wednesday night. Residents in the region are encouraged to remain indoors for the time being as tropical storm conditions are expected to last until Thursday morning.
