Coming off a dazzling debut with the Biloxi Shuckers, former Mississippi State pitcher K.C. Hunt will make his first start at Keesler Federal Park on Friday night.
Hunt, who was called up to Double-A last week, quickly acclimated to the promotion by striking out eight and allowing just one earned run against the Montgomery Biscuits on Saturday. On Monday, the Shuckers announced the right-hander would get the ball again for Fridayβs game against the Mississippi Braves.

During his college years, the New Jersey native helped Mississippi State to its first-ever national championship in 2021 before signing with the Brewers as an undrafted free agent in 2023.
