Former TCU running back and five-star prospect Zach Evans has announced his intentions to play for Ole Miss, starting with the 2022 season.
Evans initially entered the transfer portal in November. Evans had 92 carries for 648 yards and five touchdowns over the course of six games as a sophomore this season for TCU. Evans missed the final five games of the season with a turf toe injury.

Evans was a five-star recruit in the Class of 2020, according to 247Sports. His journey to TCU was one of the more colorful recruitment stories of the past several years. Evans initially committed to Georgia before being released from his National Letter of Intent and then re-opening his recruitment. Several schools courted the highly touted running back with Evans eventually landing with the Horned Frogs.
Evans will fill a need for Ole Miss at the running back position after juniors Jerrion Ealy and Snoop Conner both declared for the NFL Draft.
