Four suspects have been arrested and charged with murdering a woman in Tunica.
The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office was called to the Tunica Courts Apartments late on the evening of June 3 with reports that an individual had been shot. Upon arriving, police found a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The woman was treated on the scene but was pronounced dead shortly after by the Tunica County Coroner. The victim is identified as Brenda Miller, 34, of Robinsonville.
On Wednesday, the Tunica Sheriff’s Office arrested four suspects connected to the homicide. They were identified as Jaylon Carter, 21, Dequaveon Spears, 21, Jaylin Liddell, 17, and DeShaun Clayborn, 16. Liddell and Clayborn are being charged as adults, according to the sheriff’s office.
Each of the four have been charged with two counts of attempted murder and the discharge of a firearm within a populated area, with other charges among the group including counts of drive by shooting and possession of a stolen firearm.
Law enforcement said the investigation is ongoing.
