Germantown High School band finishes No. 1 in national competition

Germantown High School’s marching band made waves in its first-ever stint in the Bands of America finals.

During the two-day event held over the weekend in St. Louis, Mo., the Madison County school’s band finished No. 1 overall in the Class 2A category.

They also placed eighth overall out of 66 bands in the Super Regional.

GHS made history during the competition as the accomplishments were the first recorded in the school’s history.
