Holiday tours at the Governor’s Mansion will begin on Friday, but they must be booked in advance.
First Lady Elee Reeves said, “We are happy to announce that the historic section of the Mississippi Governor’s Mansion, decorated in traditional holiday style by Scott Reed of Petal Pushers in West Point, will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday and Saturday, December 4th and 5th, and Monday-Wednesday, December 7th-9th.”
Tours will take place every half-hour and reservations must be made in advance. As a precaution, a maximum of ten visitors per time slot will be allowed in the mansion, and face coverings will be required.
Reeves said, “This year’s theme ‘Christmas at the Mansion- Honoring Those on the Frontlines,’ will pay tribute to our first responders and frontline workers. I would like to encourage those who attend to write thank you cards/letters to those who have provided essential care, protection, and service to our state throughout this year. Santa will swing by before Christmas to gather the thank you notes and make sure they arrive special delivery! We look forward to sharing the Christmas Season at the Governor’s Mansion with each of you!”
