Officials are currently investigating a bomb threat that was reported at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport and Stennis International Airport early Thursday morning.
The airport was one of multiple locations across the nation that received an emailed bomb threat, including the Tupelo Regional Airport.
Authorities have since released that although the threat does not appear to be credible, the airport is requesting all visitors and passengers screened by TSA to vacate the premises. Those in arriving planes are being asked to stay in place until a security sweep is complete.
At this time, all flights departing from the Gulfport-Biloxi and Stennis are expected to be delayed.
