Country music star HARDY is canceling his October 7 appearance at the Brandon Amphitheater due to extreme anxiety and panic attacks stemming from a tour bus accident that occurred last year.
The Philadelphia, Miss. native took to social media to announce that his two fall performances as part of “The Mockingbird and the Crow” tour would be nixed as he continues to recover from the October 2, 2022 incident.
HARDY suffered injuries from the tour bus accident in Tennessee that sent him and three others to the hospital. The bus reportedly overturned on a portion of Interstate 40 west near Nashville at the Wilson County and Davidson County lines.
The country music star was sent to the hospital with several lacerations to the head following the accident but was released later that day.
It’s been just over one year since the incident occurred and while HARDY has made a full physical recovery, he continues to struggle with the mental aspect of the trauma he endured.
“I need to be honest with everyone for a second. I’ve been dealing with some serious anxiety since the bus accident last year and over the last two weeks, it has taken control of my life,” HARDY wrote on Facebook.
“It’s caused me to suffer many panic attacks which have landed me in the hospital. I need a moment to focus on me and to make myself better for my wife, family, and you, the fans.”
Refunds will be given to those who bought tickets to HARDY’s canceled performance at the Brandon Amphitheater.
As of now, the Philadelphia native is still set to perform at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Saturday, December 9.
