During a traffic stop on Tuesday night, a Harrison County deputy was injured.
The unidentified officer is expected to make a full recovery after sustaining the injury on Gorenflo Road in D’Iberville. Officials said the incident began as a routine stop but quickly escalated to the point of the officer’s injury.
According to Chief Shannon Nobles, the suspect who caused the injury is in custody.
