For 100 years now, the Farm Bureau Federation has served as Mississippi’s largest general farm organization, providing insurance coverage to more than 180,000 member families in all 82 counties.
In commemoration of the Mississippi Farm Bureau’s centennial anniversary, U.S. Senators Cindy Hyde-Smith and Roger Wicker have introduced a resolution honoring the organization.
“The Mississippi Farm Bureau has been a driving force behind our state’s growth of farming and ranching into the vital economic engine it is today,” Hyde-Smith, who formerly served as Mississippi’s commissioner of agriculture, said. “Its centennial celebration deserves recognition as it honors its past achievements and looks toward an even better future for agriculture in Mississippi.”
“The Mississippi Farm Bureau has been an important voice for our agriculture industry for 100 years,” Wicker said. “I appreciate the opportunity to highlight the contributions that Farm Bureau has made to advance Mississippi’s economy and stand with our farmers through advocacy, business development, talent training, and so much more.”
