You’re not you when you’re hungry.

The old adage from Snickers commercials was on full display in Gulfport when a man was arrested for stealing cookies before pulling a knife at a local McDonald’s on Sunday.

Gregory Lamarcus Anderson, 36, was taken into custody and charged with one count of armed robbery.

According to a release from the Gulfport Police Department, Anderson walked behind the counter of the restaurant on the 1700 block of 25th Avenue before taking the cookies from a display case. He then went to the bathroom before returning with a knife and saying to an employee, “I do what I want.”

Anderson fled the scene but was later located and placed under arrest. He is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
