Illinois man locked up for allegedly trafficking fentanyl in Madison County

A man is locked up in central Mississippi after a large drug confiscation in Gluckstadt.

On Monday, officers with the Gluckstadt Police Department took Illinois native Dylan Wetzel into custody after he tried to evade law enforcement.

Wetzel was caught with 100 pills containing fentanyl, a large quantity of marijuana, thousands of dollars in cash, and a gun.

The suspect is charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and felon in possession of a firearm.

He was booked and transported to the Madison County Detention Center and was given a $1 million bond on all charges.
