Corporal Robert Verzal passed away Sunday after several weeks in the hospital battling COVID. The 39-year-old had been with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department for 10 years, and was the lead correctional deputy at the Adult Detention Center.
Visitation will be from 10-noon September 8th at Heritage Funeral Home. He’ll be laid to rest at noon at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula.
