A Jackson man will spend three decades in prison for producing child pornography.
According to court documents, 43-year-old Delvan Jerrod Howard produced a video of an adult man engaging in sexually explicit conduct with a child. Howard was indicted by a federal grand jury on April 5, 2022. He pled guilty to the crime on January 11.
Howard was ordered to pay $3,000 under the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act of 2018.
He will serve his sentence day for day, followed by a lifetime of supervised release, and will be required to register as a sex offender.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office’s Cyber Crime Unit investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Glenda R. Haynes prosecuted the case.
