If you’re struck by the urge to belt out a “fa-la-la-la-la” this holiday season, you might just be in the right place.

According to a new study by Glass Doctor, Jackson ranks as the No. 1 city in the U.S. for Christmas caroling.

Topping the likes of Dayton, Ohio, Bridgeport, Conn., and Birmingham, Ala., Mississippi’s capital city ousted 99 nominated cities based on factors including walkability, elevation, suburban population, yard size, church choirs, and Christmas carol search interest.

The Top 10 Best Cities for Caroling were:

  1. Jackson, Miss.
  2. Dayton, Ohio
  3. Bridgeport, Conn.
  4. Birmingham, Ala.
  5. Louis, Mo.
  6. Baltimore, Md.
  7. Pittsburgh, Pa.
  8. Hartford, Conn.
  9. Milwaukee, Wis.
  10. Little Rock, Ark.

Jackson was the only Mississippi city to crack the list. Multiple events offering caroling opportunities this weekend will be taking place across the capital, including the Christmas by Candlelight Tour and Belhaven’s Singing Christmas Tree.
