Faculty, staff, and students at Jackson State University have evacuated the campus due to a bomb threat.
The university alerted those who may be on the campus grounds of the phoned-in threat on Tuesday afternoon, stating that officials are currently investigating the situation.
“Out of an abundance of caution, we are evacuating the campus and transitioning to virtual work until further notice,” JSU released over social media.
JSU officials will release additional details as the investigation continues.
