A Jackson woman has been taken into custody for allegedly shooting her mother.
Police report that the incident took place in the 4500 block of Whitehaven Drive on Tuesday morning.
34-year-old April Hughes was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Details surrounding the case remain sparse. JPD has not released the victim’s name and her current condition. A motive for the shooting has not been announced.
