The Ole Miss football team has not lost a game at home since October 24, 2020.
With the Rebels’ recent success at Vaught Hemingway Stadium, head coach Lane Kiffin is asking fans to step it up a notch.
“It would be great to have some home-field advantage with the crowd,” Kiffin said during his weekly press conference on Monday. “We should have a better atmosphere than we’ve had here lately with as many wins as these players have put together and have more of a home-field advantage. We did it at times last year for the bigger games, but tell the players don’t pick and choose when to play hard.”
Through two games this season, Ole Miss is averaging roughly 59,000 fans. While Kiffin would like to see the stadium, which seats over 64,000, full, he would also like to see a more engaged audience.
Ole Miss kicks off against the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes at 3 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on the SEC Network and can be heard on the Ole Miss Football Radio Network.
