Lane Kiffin, known for his presence and personality on Twitter, took things to a whole new level on Monday night amidst a constant flow of rumors surrounding the coach’s future.
The avalanche of events soon to unfold began with a tweet from WCBI’s Jon Sokoloff announcing that Kiffin was planning to step down as Ole Miss head coach on Friday and that he would be Auburn’s next head coach, though the Tigers had not made an official offer.

As of now, Lane Kiffin currently has an offer on the table from Ole Miss and there is no report of Auburn having an official one made available to him. While Kiffin poked fun at the reporter’s “breaking news,” he never once dismissed the rumor that he will become the Tigers’ next head coach. He has also not publicly committed to continuing his tenure in Oxford.
Is Lane Kiffin going to Auburn? Is he staying at Ole Miss? Who knows at this point?
