Lawmakers have passed a bill that would award over $50 million in BP settlement funds to six counties in the Mississippi Gulf Coast over a decade after the company spilled oil into the Gulf of Mexico in 2010.
Senate Bill 3047, which was authored by Senate Appropriations Chairman Briggs Hopson, outlines how the Gulf Coast Restoration Funds will be allocated to 29 projects.
The bill was passed in both chambers on Monday after the House and Senate adopted conference reports over the weekend.

- Moss Point: Moss Point-Point of Connection Road ($200,000)

- Pascagoula Redevelopment Authority: Live, Work, Play Pascagoula Riverfront Redevelopment ($1,500,000)
- Pearl River County Board of Supervisors: Pearl River County Industrial Park Infrastructure and Site Development ($1,922,800)
- Bay St. Louis: City Government Safety Complex ($1,000,000)
- Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission: Technology Park and Site Development at Stennis Airport Phase I ($2,000,000)
- Mississippi State University Research and Technology Corporation: Continued Development of the Mississippi Cyber Center Project ($2,000,000)
- Gulfport: Daniel Boulevard Extension and Connector Road between Highway 49 and Canal Road ($4,600,000)
- Lucedale: Lucedale Municipal Park Stage ($498,000)
- Moss Point: Highway 63/Escatawpa Natural Gas Pipeline Installation ($1,750,000)

SB 3047 now heads to the desk of Governor Tate Reeves for signature.
