Just one day into the 2022 Mississippi Legislative Session, a chamber leader has tested positive for COVID-19.
Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann tested positive on Wednesday morning but is not experiencing any symptoms and is currently in isolation, according to his office.
Hosemann has received both doses of the vaccine, as well as a booster shot.
The Senate is adjourned until 10 a.m. on Thursday.
