An arrest has been made after a missing Simpson County woman was found dead.
Kendarious Marquise Dampeer, 21, has been taken into custody by the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office and is being charged with the murder of Tazah Amethyst Hosey, 30.
Hosey was reported missing over the weekend after her father had not heard from her in over a day. Shortly before 9 p.m. on Saturday, deputies discovered an abandoned vehicle on Paul Kennedy Road just outside the city of Magee. Hosey was spotted deceased inside the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.
Dampeer is being held at the Simpson County Adult Detention Center and is awaiting an initial court appearance.
