A man has been taken into custody for allegedly assaulting police officers during the Morgan Wallen performance in Vaught Hemingway Stadium on Saturday.

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies were working in collaboration with University Police during the concert on the Ole Miss campus.

Officers were notified of a fight in the crowd and responded to the scene. Upon arrival, a man identified as Hunter Flanagan was placed under arrest for assaulting another concertgoer. According to authorities, the suspect resisted arrest and was hostile toward law enforcement.

He is accused of kicking two officers and spitting on them while being taken from the venue to the Lafayette County Detention Center.

Flanigan is charged with multiple misdemeanors and two separate counts of simple assault on a police officer — one from the LCSO and the other from UPD. His bond was set at $100,000.
