Man wanted for probation violation arrested following drug bust in Jackson

A man wanted for a probation violation is locked up following a drug bust in Mississippi’s capital city.

Agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and officers with Capitol Police, both under the umbrella of the Department of Public Safety, executed a search warrant on a residence on the 4000 block of I-55 North Frontage Road in Jackson and took James Bradley Odom into custody.

Law enforcement at the scene seized approximately 356 grams of methamphetamine, half a pound of marijuana, and 10 grams of powder cocaine. Two firearms were also confiscated at the property.

Odom is charged with aggravated trafficking of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute narcotics while in possession of a firearm, and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

He is back in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
