The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) has concluded its Thanksgiving Holiday Travel Period, reporting 6,766 citations issued across the state in five days.
From Wednesday, November 22 to midnight on Sunday, November 26, the MHP made 109 arrests for impaired driving and investigated 169 crashes.
During that time, 43 injuries were reported, along with three deaths as a result of three fatal crashes. The crashes occurred in Jackson, Copiah, and Choctaw Counties. All three incidents are currently being investigated by the MHP.
