A lot have been wondering whether the upcoming Minor League Baseball season will be affected by the MLB lockout.
According to Baseball America, the short answer is no.
“As best they can without offending MLB, minor league teams will be making clear over and over that this lockout will not affect their ability to play games,” J.J. Cooper wrote, adding that the minors will not have players currently on 40-man rosters.
If you’re a baseball-starved fan and living in or near Mississippi, individual game tickets for both the Mississippi Braves and the Biloxi Shuckers are set to go on sale as early as this Friday, March 4.
Opening day for both teams is scheduled for April 8.
