Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves will soon welcome the Salvation Army and 30 of its angel tree children to the North Pole.
As part of the 17th annual Flight to the North Pole event, the Mississippi Air National Guard and Jackson radio station Y101 are working together to provide a Christmas experience like no other to children in need.
On Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 3:30 p.m., the kids will travel to the the Air National Guard base and hop on a C-17 Globemaster III airplane en route to a simulated North Pole experience that will include hot cocoa, gifts, and of course visits with the one and only Saint Nicholas.
Each child will receive a bicycle and helmet donated by local residents and will have the opportunity to enjoy other special activities on-site.
