Tropical Storm Fred is expected to make landfall along the Florida panhandle today. South Mississippi will be spared any significant impact, but there is a flood advisory in affect until 7a.m. tomorrow. Sandbags are available at several locations for residents in flood prone areas as a precaution.
Tropical Depression Grace is expected to enter the Gulf later this week. Forecasters predict Grace to move west into the Gulf and make landfall along the Mexican border. But the system is far enough out that it bears watching, because that could change.
