As seasonal festivities begin to take place throughout the Magnolia State this coming weekend, the Mississippi Farmers Market is set to hold its Halloween Extravaganza this coming Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In addition to the usual variety of farm fresh foods and handcrafted items, shoppers will be treated to complimentary popcorn, children’s activities including trick-or-treating and face painting, vendor giveaways, specialty food trucks, and a costume contest.

Rules for the costume contest include:

  • Contestants must be in attendance at Halloween Extravaganza
  • Contestants must follow the Mississippi Farmers Market on social media and post a picture with the Fall Wagon on site, using the hashtag “#MFMHalloween22.”
  • Social media posts must be submitted by the end of the extravaganza (1 p.m.) on Saturday for a chance to win.

The winner of the contest will be announced soon after and the winner’s prize can be picked up at the MFM office the following Saturday during business hours. For more information, click here.
