A Raleigh High School football player was killed in a car crash early Wednesday morning.
The two-vehicle crash, involving a Chevrolet Avalanche and an 18-wheeler, took place on Highway 18 near Sylvarena around 4:00 a.m. According to officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the situation is currently under investigation.
While the identity of the player has not yet been released, many across the state and across the football world have extended their condolences to Raleigh High School.
