A Mississippi police officer has been arrested after he was found passed out in his patrol car with a meth pipe in his hand.
James Jackson, who works for the Belzoni Police Department, was arrested by members of the Yazoo City Police Department on Saturday. Chief Terry Gann said not only was Jackson found with a meth pipe, but marijuana was also discovered in the glove box of the vehicle.
Jackson refused a sobriety test after being woken up and was charged with possession of paraphernalia and DUI refusal. While Jackson has been released on bond, more charges could be filed at a later time.
It’s unclear if Jackson was on duty at the time of the incident. Belzoni is about approximately 27 miles north of Yazoo City.
