Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure not trying to suppress free speech with COVID policy

Physicians could lose their license for spreading misinformation about the COVID vaccine under a policy recently adopted by the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure.  Dr. Ken Cleveland is their Executive Director.  “We want physicians and their patients to have that dialogue.  No way, no how are we trying to suppress free speech of anyone, especially not our medical professionals,” he explained during an interview with SuperTalk Mississippi this morning.

The board would have to receive a complaint about a physician before launching any type of investigation.  “We’re not out there shaking trees and beating bushes looking for Doctors to fall out and see who’s guilty or not guilty of what.”  Unless they receive a complaint, they take no action.
