Teachers wanting to obtain a master’s degree in elementary and secondary education that did not get a chance to apply for the Mississippi Teacher Residency (MTR) program are in luck as the Mississippi Department of Education has extended the deadline to apply.
The MTR program applications opened in February with a due date in March, but now applications can be submitted on a rolling basis.
Depending on which happens first, registration will stay open until all 200 slots are filled or the qualifying universities close registration.
Those who have already submitted their application will have priority acceptance into the program and Spring 2022 graduates are encouraged to apply.
