The Mississippi University for Women, which has been coeducational since 1982, has released the results from a recent name change survey.
The survey received over 4,300 responses since its initial release last fall and had the following results:
- University of Northern Mississippi
- Callaway State University
- Weathersby State University
- University of Central Mississippi
- West Appalachia University
- Williams State University
- Northern Mississippi University
- University of Eastern Mississippi
Although the survey has run its course, the university has since said that it does not plan to make any decisions until at least a year from now.
MUW, located in Columbus, was founded by Mary J.S. Callaway in 1884 and currently has around 2,200 students.
