Mississippi Weather Outlook for Wednesday, March 17th

The National Weather Service says severe thunderstorms are likely from early this morning through late tonight. These storms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail, and tornadoes. Some tornadoes could become strong.

Here’s a look at your statewide forecast:

To the north, showers and thunderstorms likely today, some afternoon thunderstorms may be severe. Highs in the mid to upper 70’s. Tonight, showers and possibly severe thunderstorms are likely. Lows in the lower 50’s.

In central Mississippi, showers and thunderstorms likely today, some afternoon thunderstorms may be severe. Highs near 80. Tonight, showers and possibly severe thunderstorms are likely. Lows in the lower 50’s.

To the south, showers and thunderstorms likely today, some afternoon thunderstorms may be severe. Highs in the upper 70’s. Tonight, showers and possibly severe thunderstorms are likely. Lows in the mid 50’s.
