The Mississippi State Department of Health has confirmed 1,068 new COVID-19 cases in its weekly report.
The seven-day update brings the state’s total number of cases since the onset of the pandemic to 993,035. With 17 additional deaths, 13,402 Mississippians have passed away as a result of the virus. There are currently 41 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.
Mississippi is currently averaging 153 daily cases, a 28% decrease from two weeks ago.
