The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting less than 300 new cases of COVID-19 for the 14th day in a row.
The latest report of 240 new cases brings the state’s total up to 306,851. With the confirmation of 5 additional deaths, 7,082 Mississippians have passed away from the virus.
The state’s 7-day rolling average continues to decline and is close to falling below 200.
While remaining well below past peaks, overall hospitalizations and patients with suspected infection did see increases in the latest data from the MSDH.
As of Monday, 295,569 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
