The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 437 new cases of COVID-19.
The latest report brings the state’s total up to 298,445. With the confirmation of *11 additional deaths, 6,845 Mississippians have passed away from the virus.
MSDH Note: *3 deaths occurred between February 12 and February 27, identified from death certificate reports.
Overall hospitalizations continue to decline as they approach the 300-mark after once reaching a peak of over 1,400.
Mississippi is quickly approaching 800,000 total administered doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and an estimated 283,053 Mississippians have recovered from the virus.
