Today�s report brings the state�s total number of cases up to 97,638. With the confirmation of *36 additional deaths, 2,957 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus.�
*MSDH Note:�15 COVID-19 related deaths occurred between July 31 and September 25, identified from death certificate reports.
Hospital data has not been updated on the MSDH website since last Friday.�
As of Monday, 89,737 Mississippians have recovered from the virus.�
823,185 Mississippians have been tested for COVID-19. On the testing front, Governor Tate Reeves was at the White House Monday as President Trump announced the distribution of a new rapid test, which will benefit schools and nursing homes in Mississippi.�
