Continuing a trend, today’s report from the Mississippi State Department of Health includes less than 1,000 new cases of COVID-19.
The report of 911 new cases brings the state’s total up to 284,664. With the confirmation of 23 additional deaths, 6,390 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus.
Overall hospitalizations continue to decline, easing the stress placed on the state’s healthcare system.
The vaccine rollout continues to strengthen with over 370,000 total doses having been administered in Mississippi.
To date, 253,140 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
