While it might feel like summer just started, the school year isn’t too far away. To help parents and kids prepare, the Mississippi State Department of Health will be holding walk-in days for back-to-school immunizations.
Promising to be quick and effective, county health departments across the state will be offering immunizations that are required for seventh-grade entry. If parents have copies of their child’s immunization record, they should bring it to the clinic when attending one of the following walk-in dates.

Mississippi requires that parents provide schools with a Certificate of Immunization Compliance, often referred to as Form 121, prior to entry. Those can be obtained through the child’s immunization providers or from MSDH’s MyIR service.
