Today’s report from the Mississippi State Department of Health includes just over 1,000 new cases of COVID-19.
Today’s report of 1,036 new cases brings Mississippi’s total up to 65,436. With the confirmation of 23 additional deaths, 1,848 Mississippians have passed away from the virus.
Hospitalizations and ICU beds in use have increased in the latest report from the MSDH.
Keep in mind, the governor’s statewide mask mandate has taken effect. As a result of the order, masks must be worn by all Mississippians in schools, businesses, indoor public spaces, and outdoor public spaces where consistent social distancing is not possible.
