COVID-19 is on the rise in Mississippi according to the Mississippi State Department of Health’s latest report confirming 1,350 new cases.
Wednesday’s report brings the state’s total number of cases to 841,347. With 16 additional deaths, the total number of Mississippians who have passed as a result of the virus is now 12,543. Additionally, there are currently 164 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.
As of July 5, the complete number of Mississippians who have been fully vaccinated is 1,556,753.
