The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 199 new cases of COVID-19.†
The latest reportówhich follows a trend of lower totals on Mondays and higher case counts over the weekend with 549 cases on Saturday & 704 cases on Sundayóbrings the stateís total up to 294,994. No deaths were includes in todayís report. To date, 6,681 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus.†
Teachers and first responders are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Mississippi. So far, over 615,000 total doses have been administered across the state.
